Boats, jet skis, trailers and RVs

Special accommodations can be made to keep boats and trailers at a local marina as Key Colony Beach does not allow. Due to our limited space and local ordinances boats, jet skis, trailers, RVs, and campers are not allowed on Resort property. Key Colony Beach ordinance does not allow motorized vessels within 250 feet of shore.

Fishing

Fishing is one of the barefoot luxuries that we encourage. Our thriving marine life is evident from the catch! We have designated fishing areas at both ends of the beach, which is where our ocean structure is strongest and the majority of the fish congregate. It also allows for the rest of our guests to enjoy the swimming beach area. We have complimentary fishing cloths and bait coolers for our guests that like to get a hook in the water.

Beach Pass

We are happy to host your friends and family to come visit while you’re here when occupancy allows. Please contact our front desk for rates on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly beach passes.

Wristbands

In order to maintain our private beach tranquility, every guest over the age of 5 years old will be issued a wristband that needs to be worn while on property. Bring any damaged wristbands to the front desk for replacements. Lost wristbands will result in a $25 replacement fee per wristband.

Smoking

We do allow smoking on Resort grounds, outside only and on balconies. Please use designated ash trays and smoker receptacles to dispose of cigarette butts.

Pet Policy

Our main hotel building is pet free, aside from service animals. But you may have up to pet(s) in our Villas (max of two with a combined weight of 50 pounds). There is a $75 pet fee per pet per night.

Tents, BBQ grills, fryers or speakers

To ensure that all guests are able to enjoy the tranquility of our property, we do not allow outside tents, BBQ grills, fryers or speakers.

1. Can I bring my boat or trailer to the resort?

No. Local ordinances and limited space prevent boats, jet skis, trailers, RVs, and campers from being stored on resort property. Nearby marina options are available for storage and launching.

2. Is fishing allowed at Glunz Ocean Beach Resort?

Yes. Guests may fish from designated areas located at both ends of the beach. These areas help balance fishing opportunities while keeping the main swimming areas enjoyable for all guests.

3. Do you offer day passes or beach passes?

Yes. Subject to availability, friends and family visiting registered guests may purchase daily, weekly, monthly, or annual beach passes through the front desk.

4. Why do guests need wristbands?

Wristbands help maintain a private and relaxing environment for registered guests. They are required for guests over five years old while on resort property.

5. Is smoking allowed at the resort?

Smoking is permitted outdoors and on balconies. Guests are asked to use designated receptacles and remain considerate of others enjoying the property.

6. Are pets allowed at Glunz Ocean Beach Resort?

Pets are allowed only in villa accommodations, with a maximum of two pets and combined weight limits. Standard hotel rooms remain pet-free except for ADA-recognized service animals.

7. Can I bring my own grill, tent, or portable speaker?

No. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, outside tents, BBQ grills, fryers, and speakers are not permitted on resort property. The hotel supplies several gas grills for guest use.
