Guests arriving before check-in are welcome to stop by the front desk at Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort to receive property wristband keys. These provide access to the resort amenities while your room is being prepared.

Early arrivals are encouraged to enjoy the resort including:

• The private beach
• Oceanfront pool
• Lawn games
• Kayaks and paddleboards
• Dining at Havana Jack’s

Late check-out may be available based on occupancy and housekeeping schedules and may include an additional fee.

Minimum Age Requirement

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve and check into a room at Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort in Key Colony Beach.

A valid government-issued photo ID is required during check-in.

Payment Policy & Credit Card Requirements

A valid credit card is required when booking and again during check-in. The cardholder must be present with the card used to secure the reservation.

An authorization hold may be placed on your card at check-in to cover:

• Incidentals
• Additional purchases
• Damages if applicable

Reservations booked through certain online travel websites may require the first night’s room and tax at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.

Resort Fees

A daily resort fee of $40 plus tax ($43 total) applies per room per night.

This fee supports the maintenance and availability of our beachfront amenities and guest services.

• Beach umbrellas
• Outdoor grilling stations
• High-speed WiFi

Taxes

Room rates do not include local taxes.

Current estimated lodging taxes in Monroe County, Florida are 12.5%, which will be added to the total cost of your stay. Tax rates are set by local and state government and may change without notice.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations must be cancelled at least 30 days before the scheduled check-in date to avoid penalties.

If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival, the first night’s room and tax will be converted into a hotel credit.

Hotel credit:

• Is valid for one year from the cancellation date
• May be used toward a future stay
• Can be transferred to friends or family

Parking

Parking is included for guests staying at the resort.

Standard Guest Rooms

Each reservation includes one complimentary parking space.

Villa Accommodations

Each villa reservation includes two complimentary parking spaces.

Additional parking may be available for $25 per vehicle per day, depending on availability.

Pet Policy

To maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, pets are not permitted in standard hotel guest rooms at Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort.

However, pets are welcome in our Villa accommodations with the following guidelines:

• A maximum of two pets per villa is permitted.
• The combined weight of both pets may not exceed 50 lbs.
• Pets must remain under the owner’s supervision at all times while on the property.

Florida Leash Law

In accordance with Florida leash laws, all animals on the property must be secured on a leash and under the owner’s control at all times when outside. This helps ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests staying at the resort.

Guests bringing pets are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring their pets do not disturb other guests.

Unauthorized Pets

Unauthorized pets found in non-pet-friendly accommodations will result in:

• A $250 cleaning fee, plus
• $75 per pet per night

These charges will be billed directly to the guest’s account.

Service Animals

In accordance with ADA regulations, service animals are always permitted throughout the property, including guest rooms and public areas.

Please note that:

• Emotional support animals
• Therapy animals
• Comfort animals

are not recognized as service animals under ADA guidelines and must follow the resort’s pet policy and villa restrictions.

 

Non-Smoking Policy

Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort is a non-smoking hotel inside all guest rooms.

Smoking, vaping, or use of any smoking device inside rooms will result in a $250 cleaning fee charged to the guest’s account.

Smoking outdoors on property is permitted; however guests are asked to remain respectful of others.

Marijuana is not permitted anywhere on property, as the resort maintains a family-friendly environment.

Service Animals (ADA Guidelines)

Service animals assisting guests with disabilities are welcome in accordance with ADA regulations.

Hotel staff may ask the two legally permitted ADA questions if needed.

Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times and should not be left unattended in guest rooms.

Yes. Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel & Resort offers direct access to a beautiful Atlantic Ocean beachfront in Key Colony Beach.

Yes.
